I have to mention that I saw an HILARIOUS movie last night at Andrew and Barbara’s pad. Shaun of the Dead must be one of the funniest romantic zombie comedies ever. I don’t like scary films, so I don’t really know much about the genre. Nevertheless, I laughed out loud at this movie. I’m sure I would have enjoyed it even more if I’d have understood all of the inside jokes. Read a few reviews of this quirky British send-up of horror flicks everywhere, and then rent (or buy) the DVD. You’ll love it!

OH MY GAWD BECKY! Ever since I saw the first previews of Shaun of the Dead, I knew I MUST see it. Of course, not living in the Bay Area anymore, the thing I probably miss the most is the indie film selection. Bummer. I’ll have to rent it, because I thought it looked absolutely hilarious…thanks for making me want to see it more. If you love a good scary movie send-up, rent “Lake Placid” someday with Bridget Fonda, Bill Pullman, and the ever sarcastic Oliver Platt……LAUGHT OUT LOUD FUNNY!!!! But Betty White (yes, Betty White) is the star of the show…right behind the gigantic gator. You’ve never heard such foul-mouthed language from a Happy Homemaker in your life……:-)
