Welcome to Panorama Country

Jackson Hole experienced its greatest snow accumulation ever this year, and we were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.

I’m posting these images super large this time so you can check out the details. (I’ll add GPS info as soon as I get a chance.)

The images in the panoramas were shot hand held using a Nikon D3 and the cheapest Nikkor lens – less than 100 bucks when I bought it. Stitching with the amazing AutoPano Pro.

Amazing photos. When did you take these? Are the mountains still snow capped in June?

    1. thedude says:

These were taken last week. Yes, still plenty of snow in July, thanks to record snowfall.

Again, amazing. Love the shot of the stream! I’ll look at these on the days when I’m struggling through a Wisconsin summer – hot, humid, and boring!

Hi Dave – neat trivia about your great-uncle! The owner of Jackson’s Hole, near Lake Geneva, is my cousin – Jack Clausen. Actually, his given name is John Kenneth Clausen, not sure when we started calling him Jack. Haven’t been there yet. I hope to visit him and Barb in the near future. Maybe, when the Dude visits Wisconsin, we can all get together for a fish fry there.
