Woo-hoo! I finally did it. I set up my first BLOG (weB LOG). Of course, I had help. I used the terrific bloging software from moveabletype. I had a look at Blogger, but I think that moveabletype creates the best-looking blogs out there – with a minimum of effort. This page looks like it’s been lifted straight out of Communication Ats magazine. And this is the default template. Beautiful!
So, now the question is, “What are you going to do now that you have a fancy-schmancy blog, Jim?” The answer? I’m not exactly sure, but the whole concept has me very excited. I have a lot to learn, and well, maybe that’s the most exciting part.
The first thing to learn is how the different image upload options work. Here’s one:

This method is pretty cool. The thumbnail was auto-generated by moveable type to my specifications. In this case, I simply sepcified 120 pixels tall. Egg-sellent!
My next trick will be to to figure out how to add blogs for all of my friends and family.

Leave it to Jim to keep us technically up-to-date on all of the latest gizmos and gagets!! I’m not quite sure what a BLOG is all about, but if you’re excited about it, it must be something very cool! And, I agree, the most exciting part is learning HOW to do it! That’s why I can spend hours at a time on the computer – to Bob’s dismay!
