Milwaukee’s Architectural Gem

I guess you all know that I’m from Wisconsin. Unfortunately, I haven’t been back to my home state since March – mainly ‘cuz I don’t travel in my new job. However, this year marks thirty years since I said goodbye to Burlington High School, and I have decided that I’m going to fly back for the reunion. While in Wisconsin, I will definitely visit the spectacular Milwaukee Museum of Art. My brother Todd sent me these beautiful shots today, and now I’m hooked. I can’t wait to see it.

I am somewhat disappointed that I will not be there before September 7th, which means I’ll miss the world-famous Oscar Mayer Wienermobile – part of the “GIANTS OF 20TH CENTURY INDUSTRIAL DESIGN” exhibition – in progress now. I guess this also means that the magnificent Olympian Hiawatha train will be gone. Too bad – I really love trains.

I had no idea that the train was at the art museum. It’s pretty bad that I have to find out from a friend who lives in California when I only live 30 minutes away. Maybe I’ll take Bob there (he LOVES trains also), on Thursday…..

Wendy – it is way cool, especially when the ‘wings’ open and close. Cindy
