Our White Christmas

I was not looking forward to driving 5 hours to Shaver Lake to be held prisoner in a cabin in the snow, but that’s not how it turned out at all. The holiday I dread the most turned out to be more than tolerable this year. At times, it was actually fun.

The food and family stuff was fun and the cabin turned out to be a nice roomy house, but the icing on the cake came in the form of a foot of powdery snow. Beautiful!!

Snow is the ultimate toy! I think city folk have a hard time with that concept sometimes …

Great pictures Jim. That was a real blast, and I’m so happy that you two came. It made for one of the best Christmas’ ever. I was sorry to leave the cabin this morning. They’re expecting more snow on Wednesday. They came by and cleared our driveway, shortly after you left.
