I Hate Sunset Photos

Published: December 30th, 2003

I mean, haven’t we all seen just about enough sunsets, already?? Aparently not. This beauty was shot by Cyrus Harmon (one of the founders of the company I work for) from a vantage point somewhere in the hills above Berkeley. Seems like a nice shot to end 2003.

Go Back Jack, Do It Again

Published: December 27th, 2003

We have our trip mapped out. It begins with champagne and brunch at Jacks Bistro at noon, moves to the city for martinis at the Top of the Mark and ends with dinner at Soizic. I know,we’re getting predictable in our old age, but this day trip is really working for us. First with Jeff and Wendy, and today with Paul and Joanne. (Yes, that’s her hiding behind the poinsettia.)

Mark Downey at Alameda Gallery

Published: December 26th, 2003

I’m still scanning images for Mark Downey. All of the scanned images are going to be printed large at Pictopia and displayed at a new gallery opening in Alameda. I’ll post the time, date and location as soon as I have them. Hope to see you there!

Barbecue at Grant and Sandy’s

Published: December 22nd, 2003

hosts.jpgOur friends Grant and Sandy grilled up a big hunk of prime rib last night and oh my gawd it was delicious. Thanks for a fun evening and for the groovy gifts!

Our shot of the day has to be this beautiful sunset as viewed from their back yard patio. It looks too exotic to be Alameda, California!

Working Late…

Published: December 16th, 2003

I just remembered that I have to stay at the office late tonight. :-( We’re having some work done on our phone lines. This means I will STILL not have a chance to post pictures to my blog. Yes, I am getting behind - I have coverage from three events to share! Sorry about the delay. I hope to get back in my normal routine soon!

Essential Tool for Digital Photographers

Published: December 14th, 2003

This tool would be useful to anyone who owns a camera, but especially digital photographers whose cameras inevitably suffer from pincushion and barrel distortions at wide angle settings. I find PTLens to be one of the most useful and easy-to-use tools in my arsenal. I use it on nearly all of my digital images.

HIGHLY recommended!

Shot of the Day

Published: December 14th, 2003

Taken in a light rain last night at the nearby Portico Lofts. We were there to attend a very nice holiday party at Tony’s. I have a bunch of pictures to post from that event, but I’m moving kind of slow this morning. Please be patient with me. :-)

It’s Not for Me - It’s for Kelly!

Published: December 12th, 2003

Turns out that this lucious liqueur is an essential ingredient for two of Kelly’s favorite cocktails - the margarita and the cosmopolitan. We can never have too much Cointreau. Yum!

UPDATE! Our dear friend Tobias suggests that you add one or two of these fabulous gifts to your own wish list!
