Giraffic Park

The longest day of the year is special around here, epecially when it coincides with one of Kelly’s most favorite-est events – Oakland Zoo’s annual Walk in the Wild. This fund-raiser for the Oakland Zoo really is totally cool. You get to walk through the zoo while munching on fabulous food and sampling superb wines – which can make the cute little creatures even harder to identify. (Say, isn’t that a meerkat?) This year’s event featured food, wine and beer from 72 local vendors – including our favorite Rosenblum Winery and our new discovery, Skip Lott and his outrageous Montebella Sausages. What a fabulous event on a gorgeous day in the Bay Area!

Oh, I LOVE the little Meekrat! He is WAY too cute. Great photos dude…I hope none of those animals had the same problem as Susan’s dog had today. Went down for dinner and movies (a Doris Day marathon :-), and her schnauzer (“Bizzy”) kept passing gas every 20 minutes or so. We couldn’t stop laughing…how does a 12 pound dog produce so much “silent, but deadly” stuffage?…??…
